Empowering Women Engineers from Rural Sindh with Solar Skills!

Forty talented young women engineers from rural Sindh are stepping confidently into the future of renewable energy!

Under the LADIESFUND Solar Roof Installation Training Program at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, these women gained hands-on expertise in solar roof installation, system maintenance, safety standards, and leadership skills—all crucial for Pakistan’s sustainable energy journey.

Participants came from 15+ rural districts across Sindh:
Sanghar, Badin, Ghotki, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Tando Allah Yar, Jamshoro, Sujawal, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Larkana, Dadu, Matiari, and Shaheed Benazirabad. These are girls from areas where women engineers are extremely rare—making this achievement world-significant.

Key Highlights:

25 students sponsored by Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC)

15 students sponsored through Dawood Global Foundation’s Educate a Girl program

Hands-on solar rooftop training and leadership & team-building skills

Applied project at Darul Aman Women’s Shelter, Hyderabad

Internships with DGF, OGDC, and LADIESFUND Energy
