The third International MICE (meetings, incentive trips, congresses/ conferences and events) & Wedding Forum – IMWF 2018, concluded in Antalya, Turkey last week, hosting over 300 agencies. The forum brought together world-class destination wedding & event planners with luxury hotels, airlines, and top-notch suppliers from over 70 countries including India, Russia, America, Italy, England, Austria, Netherlands, Lebanon, Nigeria and Japan for a fantastic opportunity to network. IMWF hosted CEOs and senior managers of the largest 450+ MICE and wedding agencies breaking new grounds in the industry with highly acclaimed partners from across the Globe.
Frieha Altaf, CEO/Owner at Catwalk Events and Production – Karachi, attended the forum as a speaker representing Pakistan. Altaf spoke on ‘Re-Discovery: How to Restart and Keep on Going’ along with other panelists which included Necip Fuat Ersoy – Managing Director, International MICE & Wedding Forum, Elizabeth Isiorho – CEO Prive, Aanand Dawda – Managing Director, Events N More and Bhavnesh Sawhney – Director, Wedniksha Wedding Planners.
Altaf is a pioneer of Event Management, Fashion industry & PR services in Pakistan. In the past 29 years she has orchestrated over 3000 events for A-List Celebrities, Royalty, Business Tycoons, Sporting heroes & Multinationals across Asia, Middle East, Europe & America. Altaf is also an Activist and a Goodwill ambassador for Sahil.org and has initiated the #MeinBhi movement as part of the Catwalk Cares initiative.
The event was closed on Friday evening with a spectacular gala dinner. The five day conference was scheduled to be held on 28 May-1 June 2018 at Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek – Antalya – Turkey.
Altaf also attended the ICWF, The International Convention of Weddings Fraternity which is an Indian based Weddings Convention that had been held in India for the Indian wedding planners in the format of an educational conference to discuss new trends and destinations. ICWF Europe chapter was held between June 3-6, 2018 at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel, Istanbul. The convention hosted 30 top Indian wedding planners who plan destination weddings abroad.
