Fashion season approaches Catwalk Cares Fashion Show Season 2 organised by ‘Catwalk Event Management & Productions is all geared to return to a proper ramp format with a cadre of pioneering and popular designers; leading fashion brands and four graduates from AIFD (Iqra University)
The 17 finalized showcases include Faiza Samee, Umar Sayeed, Nilofeer Shahid, .Ybq, Sadaf Malaterre, Zainab Chottan, Maheen Karim, Zara Shahjahan, Shamsha Hashwan, Rozina Munib, Nauman Afreen, Arsalan Iqbal, Lal Karam, Lawrencepur, Kayseria, Diners and AIFD Graduates, KFC, Chocolatto, Aquafina and Douxo are on board for Catwalk Cares Fashion Show Season 2 and the Fashion show will be airing on ARY TV worldwide into a three-day format and simultaneously on various digital platforms on this Independence Day.
With the theme of’ Sustainability of the Pakistani Fashion Industry’ as its impetus many designers and brands’ collections were inspired by the ideals of hope. Resilience and positivity as their core themes. The Virtual Show is also the first time in a long while that so many diverse designers, multiple brands and fashion graduates will be showcasing together under one platform and representing the universality, inclusivity and communal spirit of the Pakistani fashion industry.
Iqra University’s constituent design campus Asian Institute of Fashion Design’s (AIFD’) will present the creations of four 2020 graduates Aiman Rao, Sehrish Talpur, Omair Mazhar & Laraib Yousuf who will be presenting one piece each inspired by African tribal art; Egyptian hieroglyphics. Nostalgia and Origami and Macramé respectively and modelled by Raahima Aliand Bisha Abbas:

Waleed Zaman Creative Director at leading brand Kayseria is equally effusive and full of positivity. Kayseria’s exclusive seven- piece collection “Umeed” that “celebrates the resilience of humankind” will only have a limited number of pieces available online and will be modelled by Maha Tahirani.
One of the leading and most established textile brands Alkaram Studio will also be participating at Catwalk Cares Season 2 with a 4 piece luxe collection entitled: ‘Esfir’ (Star Like)” that pays tribute to eastern roots and traditions, rendering an aura of ethereal beauty that transcends the constraints of time says Creative Director of Alkaram Studio, Ather Ali Hafeez about Alkaram’s participation: “Being the first of its kind in Pakistan and the most anticipated show this season, we expect a sartorial smorgasbord consisting of nostalgic prints and the season’s latest trends, peppered with an elevated sense of grandeur that Catwalk Productions never fails to provide .We believe the essence of the fashion show with digital will not change. The main objective of fashion weeks is to create and build business. We are fortunate that Pakistan has opened retail outlets more quickly than expected, with protocols being strictly followed, making our brand sustain itself in these tough times. Nauman Afreen of Naushemian who had the privilege of dressing Prince William in a traditional sherwani during his recent visit to Pakistan will be showcasing a five- piece summer collection entitled ‘‘Muskaan’, that reflects much-needed positivity, energy and joy, during these tough times and will be casting celebrity models including a star couple.
Says Afreen about his involvement:” My participation is to help promote the fashion industry and to strengthen and support our staff especially the daily labor class who are most affected by Covid -19. For me 2020 is a year of survival, if you are able to survive and remain resilient and happy, then that’s your profit! The Virtual Fashion Show Season 2 is a nice positive step being taken by Catwalk Cares.
