Waleed Zaman Creative Director at leading brand Kayseria is equally effusive and full of positivity. Kayseria’s exclusive seven- piece collection “Umeed” that “celebrates the resilience of humankind” will only have a limited number of pieces available online and will be modelled by Maha Tahirani.

The main objective of fashion weeks is to create and build business. We are fortunate that Pakistan has opened retail outlets more quickly than expected, with protocols being strictly followed, making our brand sustain itself in these tough times. Our first priority has always been to distribute the salaries to all our employees and daily wage karigaars, and it’s always been our mission to show gratitude and support for the amount of hard work that goes behind in putting together each campaign and a collection.”

Nauman Afreen of Naushemian who had the privilege of dressing Prince William in a traditional sherwani during his recent visit to Pakistan will be showcasing a five- piece summer collection entitled ‘‘Muskaan’, that reflects much-needed  positivity,  energy and joy, during these tough times and will be casting celebrity models including a star couple.

Says Afreen about his involvement:” My participation is to help promote the fashion industry and to strengthen and support our staff especially the daily labor class who are most affected by Covid -19. For me 2020 is a year of survival, if you are able to survive and remain resilient and happy, then that’s your profit! The Virtual Fashion Show Season 2 is a nice positive step being taken by Catwalk Cares. Catwalk Event Management & productions name will go down in history for establishing this platform which can be improved exponentially with the passage of time.
